Crafty Monday: Snowflake Stencils

No window is complete at Christmas without a bit of fake snow. It shocked me recently to discover that not everyone knows how to make a snowflake stencil, so here I show you how.

You will need:
A4 paper (or bigger!)
Scissors
Blutak
Spray snow
dry cloth

Step 1:
take your piece of paper, fold it in half and then in half again.

Step 2:
Take the bottom right corner and fold it up to the left side, like this.

Step 3:
Fold the bottom right edge over to the left edge to make an even thinner triangle.

Step 4:
Begin cutting triangles and diamonds along the edges of your paper

Step 5:
Unfold your paper and hey, presto! A snowflake! Stick to the inside of your window with Blutak and spray on some snow. Remove the stencil immediately but don't be tempted to try and wipe away any mistakes yet. Wait until the snow is dry and you'll make a much neater job of it.

Make up loads of stencils in different sizes to give your windows a really magical snowstorm effect.

(P.S. - to get the fake snow off use a little white spirit!)

Less than a week to go now!!
