Aga Classes

You might remember some time ago I spoke to you about my love of all things Aga. I was incredibly excited when the new Aga Total Control cooker was released but also acutely aware that my council flat existence was a far cry from ownership of said excellence.

All is not lost though! It turns out Aga are, in conjunction with top chef Nick Nairn and food writer Amy Willcock, presenting a series of cookery courses featuring the Total Control cooker in all its touch screen glory.

Nick Nairn, who runs his own cookery school and is author of 10 cookery books, will demonstrate the versatility of Aga cooking (after champagne and canapes of course!) and give guests a chance to sample his fantastic food.

If you're after something a bit more 'domestic goddess' then Amy Willcock's Aga Entertaining events are a real treat. Guests will learn all the secrets to hosting a perfect dinner party from guest lists and table plans to games and decorations. Again you'll have a chance to see the Aga Total Control in action at the hands of an experienced author and cookery demonstrator.

Tickets for the events are £30, with £5 from that going to local charities. To book, simply call the relevant shop.

  1. Hi I have a Broseley and is about as far removed from touch screen as it comes. There is something rewarding however about cooking on wood, something primeval and natural about it. Not only does it cook it powers our heating and creates our hot water. It is a bit of a battle of wills sometimes but the results are impressive.

  2. I have never heard of a Broseley *quickly googles* Carol that is hardcore! I'd love to cook on one of those! I was in the scouts so am familiar with a bit of "back woods" cooking. x
